"Dear Quarantine" by Beatriz Sá, Isa Cancela, Nassandi Röpke
We are 3 filmmaking students from Portugal and Brasil and we met in a filmmaking course, a partnership of our university ESMAD in Porto, Portugal and the UT Austin in Texas, USA.
This film is the final product of an intensive filmmaking course themed “Death and Documentary” where we pretended to show the “death" of our routines, something most of us went through during this quarantine.
"Changes are happening really fast lately. And incredible slow at the same time. Its not just a simple outbreak that we are seeing in front of our eyes, but a fundamental change in the path of many of our lives and our future. It is 2020 and the world is going through something new and unknown. The world is changing."
"Piece of Cake" by Becki Couch
From Becki:
With social distancing and staying home the 'new normal' in 2020, a new generation of home bakers were spawned, baking everything from sourdough to banana bread - so much so, they caused a global flour shortage. My film is dedicated to those who took up baking during the coronavirus lockdown and their baking successes (and failures).

Make Up - Charlie Dupré
Charlie is a playwright and spoken word artist from London. This short film is a response to the escalating levels of domestic abuse experienced by many women during lockdown.

"Fragments" by Andrea Salt
From Andrea:
"I'm an Italian Filmmaker based in Barcelona with years of experience in independent film, commercials, documentaries and corporate videos. I'm always looking for the best combination of technical skills and creative passion.
When in lockdown, I had a hard time looking for an inspiration. I pushed myself to capture every day scenes just to keep my mind busy. I left my camera on my dinning table so it was always at hand and never out of sight and it helped me a lot. When the inspiration for a shot came to me, I was always ready."

"Stuck" by Diana Chemeris
From Diana:
"“Stuck” is about a young girl quarantined in her house. She does not leave the safety of her home, nor does she interact with anyone. The only source of information from the outside world is the news. She waits patiently every day for the pandemic to pass, she has a daily routine that keeps her occupied. But after a while, deep inside her brain, she suffers from anxiety and panic attacks. I started filming while I was in quarantine. The idea was to record my daily chores, but there was not any certain story. While days were passing and I was doing my daily routine as inside the video, I was trying to find the meaning of the movie without any luck. I struggled with myself and asked why I was doing this. After many days and nights, I managed to take the inspiration from the mass media information and the overwhelmed impact they had on me. After that, till the end of the quarantine, I avoided any news or talks about the pandemic."
